DiMella Shaffer
How do you harness the unique qualities of an old warehouse building while creating a highly functional workspace? DiMella Shaffer, a Boston architectural, interior design and planning firm, turned to Red Thread for a workstation solution that lets the building’s bountiful natural light shine throughout the space. Red Thread introduced the firm to Steelcase’s Elective Elements 6, a freestanding, flexible office system. The solution achieves the firm’s vision for a light-filled interior characterized by crisp lines and a uniform look throughout both open workspaces and private offices. Red Thread worked closely with DiMella Shaffer to ensure the solution not only meets the firm’s significant storage needs, but also enables greater day-to-day collaboration among team members. It was the age of the building, however, that put Red Thread’s expertise to the test, demanding an exceptional level of attention during installation. Red Thread even cut the laminate surfaces onsite to ensure installation would be perfect in the discerning eye of an architect. While the new space is impressive to visiting clients, the use of audio visual technology enables DiMella Shaffer to put its portfolio in the spotlight. Red Thread equipped the firm with a lobby display to showcase its work, as well as an easy-to-use conference room solution that enables presenters to focus on winning the next big project – and not on using the technology. |
