Key Note Speaker

Insights for a Connected Campus
Chip McLellan | Market Leader, Education Solutions | Steelcase

Students are more connected than ever - both socially and virtually - they expect the same access to technology in the classroom as they have for life outside of it.  Beyond technology, campuses are challenged to create a culture that reflects diversity and a commitment to collaborative interdisciplinary teaching and research.  Steelcase has studied classrooms, libraries and other learning spaces to develop innovative applications and products to support the connected campus.

Client Experiences

Northeastern's media:scape Testdrive
Jim Brand |  Director, Space Planning & Analysis | Northeastern University

Working with the Library Management Team, Jim Brand wanted to transform quiet study and reference spaces to bring new energy and purpose to these iconic structures.  A media:scape testdrive was situated in the middle of the first floor of their main library; hear  the students reaction as they discovered this new tool and how to utilize it with their peers.

Classrooms for Active Learning
Aaron Flint | Manager, Instructional Support Services | Southern New Hampshire University

College Classrooms today must support a variety of connections - student to student; student to faculty and; student to information. These connections must support collaboration with the easy transfer of information between individuals and groups, the effective display of content, and the need for teams to switch between different modes of learning.  SNHU will share how their "LearnLab" classroom has influenced teaching & learning behaviors and shaped social interations in a new way.
