The Question
What is really driving how our spaces are being used?
The Insight
Sun Life’s utilization data revealed underused collaboration areas, oversubscribed quiet zones and underutilized meeting rooms. A workshop with real estate, HR and facilities leaders uncovered the why: speculative bookings, AV friction and mismatched adjacencies were influencing utilization.
The Action
The findings led to opportunities to address AV needs, reassess department space requirements and rethink booking, reservability and auto-release policies. Sun Life also began exploring analytics expansion to another location.
The Outcome
What started as a utilization review became a broader roadmap for workplace, technology and real estate decisions.
