LEARNLAB SETS A NEW STANDARD FOR ACTIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS.

An Active Learning environment is just what Harvard College’s Lamont Library’s Larsen Room needed. It is the library that physically and symbolically captures the heart of a campus, and serves as a preeminent icon of higher education. In order for the library to continue its pivotal role in the college learning experience, it must adapt to offer new information technologies and support changing pedagogies and learning modes. The Lamont Library’s Larsen Room takes on this challenge by engaging and educating students and faculty on the vast wealth of information accessible through the Harvard College library system. In between training sessions, the LearnLab transforms to an ad hoc collaborative space for student information sharing and project work.
